To truly understand what truth is, we must examine what the Bible says regarding truth. Then, as the knowledge of truth is revealed through God's Word, we need to pray for wisdom and ability to apply its principles into our lives.

1) And the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in trespassing therein. Leviticus 6:7

(For you and I to receive forgiveness, someone had to atone for our sins. The price for that atonement was Jesus’ death on the cross!)

2) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

(In order to receive forgiveness we must come before God in true humility and, in true repentance turn from our sins. When we do this, we will find mercy.)

(We truly receive a blessing when God forgives our sins and covers us with His righteousness.)

(Do you feel the weight of guilt and condemnation pressing upon your soul? Ask Jesus to forgive your sins, cleanse your heart and make you whole.)

(Even when we wander far away from God and commit grievous sins, He longs for us to return to Him for pardon and healing.)

6) For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15

(God requires us to forgive others as He has forgiven us.)

(How can we not forgive others when there is no limit to God’s grace for us?)

9) That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. Mark 4:12

(Those who harden their hearts to God have no desire to seek Him for forgiveness and they are unable to receive His pardon and healing grace.)

10) But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. Mark 11:26

(Do you want forgivness? Then you must also forgive anyone who has hurt you. This does not mean there are no consequences, for God will utimately deal with those who have hurt you..)

(We all need God’s forgiveness and we all need to have a forgiving spirit.)

(If you truly love someone who has hurt you, go to them in love and compassion, seeking to restore them to God whom, ultimately, they have wronged.)

(God promises to hear the intercessory prayer of faith offered by one who is faithful.)
