Salvation   

The peace and joy of knowing Jesus and having the assurance of eternal life is the privilege of all who give their lives to Him and walk with Him on their journey to Heaven. Click here to view this lesson.

1) acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Psalm 32:5

(King David shows us that we cannot hide our sins from God, nor should we try to make excuses to cover our sins. It is only by sincere repentance and forsaking our sins that God will forgive and pardon us. See 1 John 1:9..)

2) He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Proverbs 28:13

(Only by turning away from sin in true repentance can we be forgiven.)

3) Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. Isaiah 45:22

(By God’s grace, we can be saved and have eternal life.)

4) Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. Jeremiah 13:23

(There is nothing that we can do to change our sinful nature for there is nothing good within us. Only God can change our hearts.)

5) The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3

(It is God’s love for us that reaches out to us as sinners and calls us to return to Him.)

6) And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21

(Jesus is the One who saves us from sin’s guilt and power, and our only hope for eternal life is through His sacrifice.)

7) Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: Matthew 3:8

(Love for Christ will prompt us to do all that He asks, which includes keeping His commandments. This is the fruit of loving Him. Wouldn’t you like to be more like Jesus today?.)

8) ...there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. Luke 15:10

(All Heaven rejoices over just one.)

9) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12

((When we receive Jesus into our hearts, He recreates us into His image. This process will then shape our thoughts and desires to be like His.)

10) ...Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5

(To have eternal life, we must allow God to create a new heart within us and, like Jesus, receive baptism.)

11) Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19

(Now, while time still lasts, we can come to Jesus and receive a new life in Him.)

12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12

(Only by accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior can we have eternal life.)

13) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

(Every person that has ever lived is a sinner and needs a Savior.)

14) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 (God’s love for us began even before we loved Him. When we were lost and dead in sin, He died for our sins.)

15) For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

(Only the sinless Son of God could pay the price for our redemption and make us holy by the indwelling power of His Spirit.)

16) ...For by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Galatians 2:16

(Our good deeds can’t earn us eternal life, because our good deeds and eternal life are gifts from God.)

17) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

(Ask Jesus to forgive your sins and to take control of your life today.)
